Paint the Town Red Benefit Dinner/Formal

Saturday, March 20th from 6-Midnight Nittany Lion Inn

Come dance the night away at our Paint the Town Red (PTTR) formal at the Nittany Lion Inn. PTTR is our annual club formal, as well as a benefit dinner for the Centre Communities Chapter of the American Red Cross. There will be auction items and raffle items such as Philadelphia Phillies Tickets, Philadelphia Sixers tickets, a weekend in Avalon, a signed baton from the famous Penn State Blue Sapphire, signed Franco Harris jersey, and much more. Credit cards will be accepted at the dinner. Tickets are $18 for active club members, $31 for non-active club members who are students, and $65 for non-students. Tickets CANNOT be bought at the door, so please stop by one of the officer's office hours to purchase tickets.

Free Disaster Response Training

Saturday, March 27th from 8:00am to 4:30pm

Both of these courses in the training are completely free to attendees. Click here to sign up now. The first course offered is "Fulfilling Our Mission" which is the mandatory and introductory course to the American Red Cross Disaster Services programs. The second course is "Shelter Operations." This will teach the basics of how to run a shelter efficiently and prepare you for situations you may face in a real disaster situation. It is particularly helpful for students because we may get called upon during bad weather to staff local shelters, just like this past fall. Pizza and soda will be provided for all attendees by the Student Red Cross Club.
