What are blended learning classes?

This is the Red Cross version of Web-based education. Blended Learning is part online, part classroom. After successful completion of the online components, finish up with an abbreviated classroom session of review and skills demonstration.

Day of Disaster Training

The Day of Disaster Training has yet to be announced for this year.

Youth Engagement

This year, we are working with the Centre Communities American Red Cross chapter to bring health and safety education to elementary schools in Centre County. Training will be held in October and will last 2.5 hours. There are four programs that the American Red Cross offers:

Scrubby Bear: This program teaches personal hygiene to children in kindergarten and first grade.

C.A.S.A.: This program teaches children about home safety.

Whale Tales: This program teaches children about water safety.

Fire Safety: This program teaches children about the importance of fire safety.
